Has Anyone Tried To Install Aftermarket Rotors On An 03 4runner?
I've Had 2 Different Manufacturers Send Me Rotors That Were Too Big. About An Inch Overall Diameter. This Was On The Fronts Only. Anyway, Powerstop Is Making Me A Set. They Said I Have 16" Braking System Eventhough The Rims Are 17"

which model do you have? sr5 or non sr5? if you have the non-sr5 then you have front rotors which are 13.3"s otherwise you have the smaller rotors.

I'm not trying to start, yet again, another brake rotor debate, but why are you going with drilled/slotted rotors? For visual effects?

It's An '03 Limited With 17" Rims. I Think Thats Why Theres So Much Confusion.

very tru, drilled do run cooler, but i will repeat what i said in another thread about drilled rotors, they were designed for racing enthusiasts in mind. they work best in extremely hot conditions like autocross, gp, etc. in everyday driving, esp in areas with colder weather, cracks can develop between the drilled holes, and yes it does happen, i have two buddies that both installed them, 6 months later they were both replacing them. and they didnt buy cheap stuff, they bought brembo and powerslot, both good companies.

imho, dont go with drilled, you dont need them. if you have to have something like that, go with slotted, they are nearly as effective and you will have no worries with cracking.

as for having fitment issues, do you have a big brake kit or something? you should have no issues with getting upgraded aftermarket replacements for your rig.

Dont bother with cross drilled or slotted, theyd onothing unless you drive a very fast car and are hard on your brakes and subquently the rotors.

Your wasting your money b/c your brakes and rotors wont ever got hot enough to take advantage of the rotors.

I run brembo blanks and hawk pads, if they can stop a 5k lb T100 4x4 x-cab then they surely can stop the runner.

Are you noticing brake fade? 99.9% of the time, drill rotors will not be the answer to better brake performance. Get some good pads instead.
