brake bleeding procedure?

what's the order to bleed the brakes on my '03 4Runner? Right rear, left rear, right front, left front? I can't get the right rear bled properly. When I crack open the bleed screw no fluid comes out when the pedal is depressed.

I'm kinda particular about the brake pedal feel as I autocross and road race (not the 4Runner) so while I was rotating the tires this past weekend I decided to bleed the brakes.

If your 03 has the same electric brake booster as the 01/02's then you have to have the ignition switched on to get any pressure at the rear brakes.

Haha, sorry to bump an old thread. I had to share just how amazed I was once I figured out the ignition switch had to be in the ON position, and then found that the fluid gets auto pumped out of the bleeder screw. It even sounded like a faucet running! Even more amazing was the warning beep telling me to stop and refill the MC reservoir before moving along.

Just amazing! I've bled brakes a million times on different cars, but this was just too awesome to keep to myself. Too bad it only does it for the rears. Filling up a 16oz bottle that quickly was just all kinds of cool...

Thanks for bumping this thread. I must have missed it the first time around, and didn't know about that feature on the brake system. Good to know.
