i went to get my alarm installed at the dealer because it was in the contract after i bought the vehicle.(I squeezed it in the deal along with my roofrack) this type of alarm has a light that is also a button. just wondering what that button is for. it doesn't say on or off. i think, but i could be mistaking, that is a port install?(I think thats what he said)

if its anything like the SecuriKey system (from the dealer) in my '00, thats the valet button that doubles as the status LED. does all the blinking thing a normal status LED does but also does the functions of a valet button.
