hi.. first post on this forum. I recently purchased an 06 4runner ltd with the v8. It has 43000 km on it. Before I take it in to the dealer I was going to try and get some opinions first.
I'll do my best to describe this. It's been happening on and off. As I come to a stop, pretty much as soon as the vehicle stops, there is a slight thump as if there is a gear change. The same happens when I start moving again, a little thump as it jumps into gear. Doesn't happen all the time. I find I can get it to happen if I come to a fairly sudden stop, I get a slight gear thump just as the truck stops. It almost feels like a u-joint with slack in it but my guess at this point is it's some sort of gear change.
any help much appreciated.
