ZUK Mod on the Super Cheap!
So I was cleaning out the garage and I walked past my scrap pile I've been waiting to take to the metal yard and I saw my old 94 civic shocks laying on the ground and I said to myself, those springs look mighty close to 14". I took them apart and sure enough, 14.25" and I measured the inside and outside diameter of the spring and it is a perfect fit! Half an hour later with a little sawzall action and a pry bar and I now have myself a solid 3.5" of lift in the back to cancel out that saggy rear end. Just thought I'd share with you guys because I know a lot of people are asking where to get springs from. Apparently 92-95 civics is another one to add to the list!

I tried both and they both fit. They are the same length but the front ones I imagine have a stiffer spring rate since most of the weight is up there. So you could go with the front coils if you need more pay load and don't mind the ride sacrifice or you could go with the rears for a softer ride but same height increase. My measurement from top of rim to bottom of fender before was around 11" and after was about14" if I remember correctly.

I am not sure what the spring rate is but it rides good. The back absorbs the bumps just as well as the front now and it is a night and day difference from what it was.
The civic springs are wider on one end and narrower on the other. I put the wide end over the rubber stop on the leaf pack and the narrow end fit in the bump stop on the frame.
I couldn't get a straight on side picture because I'm at work but you get the gist.

They came out of a 94 civic DX coupe with a manual transmission. I would guess that all models would probably fit but you might get different spring rates between automatic/manual transmissions and body styles. If I were you I would bring a tape measure with you to measure the springs before you buy them just to be sure. Or if you don't want to go through the hassle, I know for sure the car listed above works! Before I got my truck, civics were my forte. It has been my experience that almost everything on those cars are VERY similar and most stuff is interchangeable.

X2, just goes to show what a little imagination can do. I just wanted to add a little more to this thread instead of starting a new one. 2000-2005 toyota celica springs work well too, without any cutting! I installed lowering springs on my 01 celica & used the old ones to do my zuk mod. These springs only measure 12" so it probably only corrected the sag with a little lift.

That is awesome that the celica springs work out as well! This is sounding like there are some pretty good junkyard fixes out there.
