Thinking bout doing a Zuk mod on my. 1988 toyota truck... Couple questions here? What year TJ springs to I get them from? Is 13 inch coils ok? I do lots of wood hauling, and hunting.

Thanks!

why wouldn't you just do Add a leaf you have spring over axle in the rear.

zuk mod helps but aal is a better option IMO

or better yet go get chevy springs stronger springs, get a little bit of lift out of it and no worries about hauling heavier loads

I have done the no cut Zuk mod, and have had GREAT results! Granted you got to drive on them to settle them.

My leafs were FLAT and I didnt want to re ark them nor put an add a leaf and didnt have the money to replace them or the know how to do the 63's

The process for the NO CUT is VERY VERY easy!! and I have fully flexed out the rear (once settled) NO CHANCE of them puppies flinging out! I can post after pictures of the zuk mod if you would like.

I used the 13" 125 test Black magic springs and love them, gave me a smother ride. If you haul alot and the loads are heavy I would say go with 13" 150 or so test so it can handle the load.

The ZUK mod was a QUICK and EASY fix for me, but I will be moving up to 63's when I have the time to get them and redo the front and rear hangers on the runner.

It is a hour install if you don't know what your doing, but I can probably do an install in like 20 minutes because I wouldn't do the first time mistakes. ( only having 1 floor jack and 1 bottle jack, using 2 sets of spring compressors
on 1 spring yada yada)

I did the zuk mod on mine, mostly to get rid of the 4" blocks and because I couldn't fine any 63" springs. Now that I'm around half a dozen pick & pulls, I'm going to get a good set and put them in.

Thanks 1st Gen, I'm running the led taillights, they are much brighter and I think that's better for people behind me now that I'm in the big city. I ordered a bunch of led bulbs for the rest of my lights, including the dome lamp led's so I'll post some pics once I get them all in. Plus, I got some 10% coupons on the leds if anyone wants to buy some from the same site, pm me.

Got money and want 2-inch lift from stock? Old Man Emu
Got no money and want 2-inch lift? ZUK with 14-inch 125-lb Black Magic springs
Hauling stuff? 14-inch 150-lb Black Magic springs
For all above, need to lift front as well.

Got no money and want just back to stock? 12-inch 125-lb Black Magic springs.
