Question Xtra cab or regular cab frame

Hello all. I searched for information before asking something that might annoy anyone and had no luck. I have a buddy that has an xtra cab he wants to sell me. I have a regular cab truck that i rolled and am not having much luck finding a good rust free regular cab. My frame is not damaged. My buddy doesnt have the original xtra cab frame because it got cancer aka"rust". The body is in decent shape. I was wondering what it would take to put the xtra cab on my frame. I figured i might have to modify a bed. Is there any modifications like re-placing body mounts. I appreciate the time and effort to help me.

The x-cab will bolt up, but you'll need to add a pair of mounts for the rear of the cab (or move the existing ones, I foget which).

The bed will have to be bobbed, or build a flat bed.

Bottom line, it can be done relatively easily, and will be worth it.

That is one of the coolest mods on these trucks IMHO. I'm always keeping my eyes out for for a rust free xtra cab for my truck, then bob the front of the bed and you have the best of all world SWB, SSBX and xtra cab.
