You can manually engage the fuel pump by using a paper clip in the diagnostic port - I think it is FP and P that you bridge - bridge it then try and fire it up....have you checked the fuel pump fuse?

B+ = batter positive. Must have the 12volts directly to the fuel pump.
To the OP, this bypasses the circuitary that normally operates the fuel pump. If the FP still doesn't come on doing this, it's probably dead. If it does come on, time to start tracking the circuitry. Joy!

first off, check your fuses?
behind the battery is a fuse block with the diagnostic test plug on the side.
on the inside of the lid is a diagram of the pins, but if that's not legible:

You can use a paper clip as your jumper wire. Also, this is the same diagnostic box (grey) that is utilized when pulling CEL (check engine light) trouble codes and to set electronic ignition timing. For those purposes, you would jump the TE1 and E1 terminals.
There are purposes for the diag. port, but another time for that.
When you find the FP and B+ terminals and have them shorted/jumped, simply turn your key to ignition.....don't start it....and listen for the fuel pump. Or, just listen for pressure in the fuel lines. If you don't hear either, or the truck will not start by doing this, the fuel pump is likely toast. OR...duh<<<me, the wiring to it is bad. That happens a lot, too.
