wont rev past 2000 rpm
Just bought me a 92 Toyota pickup 22 re and it won't rev past 2000 rpm sounds like its hittng a rev limiter the previous owner replaced the throttle body with sensor and mass airflow sensor .if I unplug the tps it runs fine besides high idle I'm showing code 41witch is tps but would this cause it to only rev to 2000 rpm any suggestions

The tps could make it run weird, I had to put a new one on my 86 with the 22r, it was a pain to set up. You need to use feeler gaugers and set the tps for different positions. There should be to bolts that hold it in place, you can loosen them slightly and try to adjust the tps and see if it helps.

I've tried moving the sensor and right now I got it in the only place it will idle right Ive tried testing the sensor per the manual said to ohm the bottom to terminals and set with a feeler gauge but I didn't see a idle adjustment stop to insert the gauge all I seen was a damper on the side , I have resistance when the throttle blade is closed or open
