wondering what that canister was that got lost?
Hey guys, we just rebuilt my engine. when we put it back together there was an air tube going from my airbox to a container that looked like a canister. one line in and one line out on the top and bottom. i blocked off the end on airbox lid.. but i have no idea where the other end went off of the canister. can you guys help me? It seems like it went by my throttle body but i dont know where the line went that left the canister? thanks guys

yup, that would be the only "canister" hooked to the intake. You beat me to it, I was looking for a similar photo. Good thing I looked at the thread first. haha.

That would be that thing i am refering too lol.. soo if this is removed could it cause my engine to run lean and not make alot of power? with the mods i have in my signature i can only run about 75 on the interstate topspeed going downhill lol.

No, it won't affect the way the engine performs, for better or worse, if deleted/blocked off. It's only for reducing HC and CO emissions.

Don't hate me too much for what I'm about to say. But don't you wish you bought a truck with the V6?
I have an 88 long bed with a manual trans, 35x12.5s, 4.30s, and a 3VZE with the same mods as your 22RE, minus the headers, cam, E3s and an open exhaust from the cat back instead of a glasspack. She pulls just fine all the way to 85+ mph on flat land. I've topped 'er out at ~101 mph going downhill.
PULSED SECONDARY AIR
INJECTION (PAIR) SYSTEM
To reduce HC and CO emissions, this system draws in air into exhaust ports to accelerate oxidation, using vacuum
generated by the exhaust pulsation in the exhaust manifold.
