i COULD reuse the harness, but some of the plugs are damaged and dont click lock in nice and there are already some repairs that have been made to it. i just want to peace of mind that all the connections will stay hooked up, and it wouldnt hurt to replace the 23 year old harness....IF they still make them

I say get replacement plugs, solder all connections / splices, heat shrink things and call it good. That'd probably be better than the factory harness that has crimped splices and things in really bad places.

You can just replace the connector. First you have to figure out what keys the individuale wire in the moulding. If you go the the junk yard and cut one out you should be able to cut it up and figure it out. Then find good connectors, pull the wires and swap into yours. Revisit the previous repairs and make sure they are up to snuff. A little work but way cheap. The metal connectors will have some kind of clip that you will neeg to depress to get the wire out. Could be that a little piece of metal tubing will slide over the connector and do it. Haven't looked at that style connector but i'm sure it can be done.
