i will be purchasing a 88 Toyota truck 4x4 longbed from my buddy in the next week. It is in perfect condition for a 20 year old truck. I alos have a modded Nissan Xterra w/ 31's
I was going to take those 31's and put them on the yota and put 32's on the X.
I was thinking about installing an Aussie rear locker on it.
can someone help me w/ a suspension lift for if is out there. I don't wanna go to crazy w/ it I do from time to time take the Toyota off-road.

It just depends on how much you want/have to spend, and what you're going to do with it.

If funds aren't an issue, go with OME (Old Man Emu) from ARB. Your truck will ride nice and have lots of grip. This set-up is a great dual-purpose option for both on-road and off-road. But it's not cheap.

If you're broke and don't mind if your truck rides like a truck, go with a leafpack from Downey or wherever for the rear, and BJ (ball joint) spacers for the front.

Or even a simple body lift, if you just want to run bigger tires. With a body lift you'll maintain the original ride characteristics of your truck.

Funny seeing you here... I was gonna go with the OME leafs in the rear since the stockers are definitely sagging. You can fit 31s fine with no lift (even 33x10.50s with a little clearancing) but if you wanted some lift you could do the OME lifted leafs and/or shackles and BJ spacers. This weekend I can show you some things on my truck as the Yota front suspension is kinda upside down compared to the Nissan.

I just want a alittle bigger do just mild off-roading i will leave the harder stuff for my X...which I dont care if it gets dinged up even more.

So maybe a body lift should do it...im just not a fan of them

I ran 31s on my stock '88 for about 8 or 9 years. Then I went with a lift shackle in the rear and ball joiont spacers up front, with 32s. That is a great setup. Search around on this board and you'll find tons of info about the bj spacers. I had them about three years before I did my SAS and they worked well for me. If you need help with anything, I'm just up the road from you between Gainesville and Warrenton.

Yeah, I definitely wouldn't do a BL.. The BJ spacers, leaves, and shackles will be much more useful. Oh, and I would take Beater up on the help.. He knows his stuff

If you wanted to cheaply get rid of the rear sag you could just run some AALs for now.. They're pretty cheap ($30 for the ones on my 4Runner from Summit).

so...where do i get the rear shackles and ball joint spacers from? is there a good site that has all that stuff and more?? Anth...yo said something about new rear springs? where can I get those??
