will O/D light flash if speedometer cable is broken ??
Dealer tells me my cable is broken but my O/D light was flashing as well but no codes could be found ????

Kinda weird O/D would flash and yet there are no codes. You may have a speed sensor that's not happy with the cable being broken.

If you're talking about the '86, there's a speed sensor in the instrument cluster and one on the driver side of the tranny. If the OD light is blinking, you have a code. Do you know how to get it?
