Wierd clanking noise

When you depress the clutch and start to slow down, there is this mettalic sounding "clank" I don't know what it is, my dad seems to think it's something in the front end. I am just worrying about the slave. I don't know if that's it or not but the master and clutch master have both needed to be replaced.

Does it make the sound without applying the brake....when you decelerate? Is ONLY when the clutch is in?

I'm not really sure, I think I always have the brake engaged a bit, but it's always when I'm slowing down. I know I have to change the brake pads (at least) so it may be something messed up with the brakes???
