Who's got the highest odometer reading?

1988 3VZE 4x4 Longbed PU (actually has 226,538 mi. as of today). She's a frankenyota(made of parts off other yotas), few original parts left. Engine, frame, most of the body panels are original maybe. And she's my "beater"(been "TOTALLED" a few times since I've had her), so there's LOTS of cosmetic damage from head to toe. NEVER been rolled, or even laid on her side, despite countless attempts(out-cool that!).

Just bought this truck 3 weeks ago......
1. 320,000
2. 22RE
3. 87 4Runner SR5, 5spd, Bone Stock, 30x9.50/R15 A/T
4. Original engine still, except for new timing chain & guide lines, original drive train, ect. Regular routine maintenance since day 1 (have records of maintenance log note book, oil & filter change ever 2000 miles, new starter & realy, plugs, dist. cap, brakes, clutch, flywheel, center console double deck w/ cover, shocks, rubber hoses & belts, tires, coolant, all fluids, brake booster, brakes/pads, evaporator, AC components etc..(AC is COLD), front bearings, u-joints, sparks/wires, brake master cylinder, timing chain, rails, sprockets, gears, cover, water pump, front bearings, towing hitch, exterior paint, windshield washer, battery, front windshield, ball joints, bushings, greased all zerk fittings, stabilizer bar, wipers, alignment, throttle body, air filter, power antena, radiator, cap, thermostat, AC Idler pulley, fuel filter, temp sending unit, pcv valve, valve cover, ING switch, Alarm syst.
5. Never been in accidents, only 1 small ding on the rear bumper from the previous owner. Has been very well taking care of and never seen real off roading.
6. I'm the 3rd owner now. I bought it at 318,500 M! The 2nd owner had it for 30,000 mile for 8 mo/. Then after that, the 1st owner had the truck ever since day 1. The truck was bought at Toyota of Sacramento dealer ship on Sept. 24 1987. He was into Aerospace Engineering at NASA, Airizona at that time. He took A+ good care of the 4Runner. I still have the original papers, brochure, owner's manual in excellent shape LIKE NEW!! The interior is in immaculate condition LIKE NEW!! Everything WORKS ( all electronics components etc, even power mirrors work! has original Toyota tape player, new seat covers, super clean, top has never been off.
7. I picked up the 4Runner 80 miles away from where I live. Drove it home at night going up a steep pass, (SLOW) but got home. Runs 80mph on flat surface and down hill. After I bought it, I drove the 4Runner on a long trip out to St. George, Utah at middle at night, midle of the desert back single lane road for 5 hours with the 4Runner. Stayed for a week, saw the grand canyon, went offroding in 3 States in one DAY. Drove it alot, put many miles on it and very far from home over at SoCal. I drove back home and came back the same way as I came up. Short cut then going on the I-15. MADE IT HOME, w/ NO PROBLEM!, spent 1700 miles ont the trip and most of it was out in the open desert remote areas where I saw no people. I was not afraid to drive my truck that far with high mileage from seeing how good shape it is in. I trust Toyota's. Since my first one, toyota's never gave me problems.
Here are some Pics & I have More to come soon, So STAY TUNED

July of 1996 I bought this truck used at White Allen Chevrolet Dayton, Ohio..It had 8k on odometer..The truck had everything I wanted on it (5spd, 22RE engine.) It was hard to find one at the time with A/C.. In Ohio most I looked at did not have A/C or were too expensive..or just plain "beat up".. Im glad I insisted on getting A/C now that my residence is in Florida..The salesman told me they were having problems selling the truck...Because of the Pink Triangle stickers, Rainbow stickers, and Homophobia is a Social Disease stickers plastered all over it..They wanted 9k I got it in "as is" condition for 8k
1)294k
2)22RE
3)Replaced Tranny (3rd gear gone) at 205k,universal joint, water pump, starter, clutch, head gasket, timing chain at 150k.
Still my Daily driver getting it repainted on Nov. 14th. Now Im in Vincennes Indiana for a job..Has no rot..No Hit..Some surface rust on roof and hood..I thought about selling her over the years..But, Im in construction I have driven this truck in the "worse" of conditions and it has never let me down it has gone through hell and back..
I brought it in to Toyota dealer in Bradenton Florida (rear end and tranny fluid changes). I had four mechanics looking under the hood. I asked them what they were looking at? They could not believe this car had 275k at the time on engine..They never seen one so clean before..
P.S. Yes I did remove the stickers but not before a friend saw me driving it around town..lol

I need an aligmnent again though, cause Tire Kingdom did a half-ass job
so when I get back from my vacation, I'm cranking in a bit more preload, and then taking it to a DIFFERENT shop...

if/when they do break, or the bushings go out (cause I know they're pretty much impossible to find... Downey use to sell them, but uh, yeah, you see what heppened with that...), It'll be time for a TC Long Travel kit SAS is over-rated anyway

Johnny, has your odo ever been replaced? I'm iffy on the law regarding them other than it being illegal to roll them back but I think (you should call your DMV just to make sure) that when you replace the odo it's supposed to be rolled forward to match the previous one. Not sure it should be touched for a rebuild or replacement of the engine, even if the whole motor, block and all, is brand new.
What are these "miles" that you people keep talking about? My odo reads 223,314,XXXm, so I apparently have you all beat. What do I win?

He said he'll think about it and give me a call, never did. Since I'm my own mechanic, those shop manuals would be very helpful. However I have 3 toyota shop manuals of a 1993 pickup. It covers the 22RE engine and the drive train, but not everything on a 87 4Runner Specs. My 1st toyota was the 93 pickup. it had 154,000 when I bought it and 188,000
When I got rid of it. Did oil changes and 1 set of brake pads, new coolant. Power house was a 3.0 V6 5spd ADD hubs, 33x12.50R15 M/T. Apparently, A month back, A commercial truck rear end me. Insurance took the truck and gave me 4k I did the change cause, I wanted to downgrade from the PITA 3.0 to I4 22RE . WHY? this will be the perfect build up for the Hilux Turbo Diesel I4, since they share the same engine mounts as the 22RE and bell housing + it's a 2door 4Runner that fits my taste. I Just agree with diesel technology
BETTER ENGINE LIFE, BETTER MPG
