Where To Buy Timing Chain Kit?

After doing some research, I narrowed it down to 22RE Performance or LC Engineering for the timing chain kit and timing cover. Any experiences out there with either of these vendors? Much Mahalos (Thank you). DC

Thanks wyoming9. How's Engine Builder working out? I emailed Ted and he said only the driver's side timing chain guide is metal backed, passenger side is plastic. I know the majority of the tension is on the driver's side.

Did one a few years ago about 40,000 miles give or take.87 4Runner

Another one on a 85 must have close to 100,000 miles

Not having any need to pull things apart I can only guess it is in good shape.

I did head gaskets and also replaced timing cover oil and water pump just because.

Hard to beat Engine Builder. Just purchased a kit for my '87. Nice kit with an OEM tensioner.

If you want to go total OEM the manufacturer was/is OSK. Google OSK 22R timing chain kit.
