Is this what your 22re sounds like?

i found this on youtube, the guy tightened the valve cover down too tight in his first video and the click is much worse...

In this video he seems to think that it is sounding like it should, do your 22re's sound like this too?

This is exactly how mine sounds, after much work i have got the tick down to this, but i thought it was still way way too loud, maybe i was wrong.

i don't have working speakers right now so i cant comment on the vid, but i will say that i can only hear the injectors click and a small exhaust leak on my 22re, no valve train noise at all, valve clearances adjusted to stock

I have a new 22re and it sounds nothing like that, but I would have to say that my old motor, even with a blown head gasket sounded better than that.

thats about what mine sounds like after many attempts at adjusting the valves.

no not at all! mine was very quite, and i had a mild cam so it loped alittle, but not like that

my engine sounded a lot worse than that a little while ago. After i had the timing chain and the valves adjusted it sounded about the same as urs does now. Mine also has a pretty bad knock in it too.

Mine is dead silent. And no, the valves aren't adjusted tighter than spec
