What year Extra Cab Pickups have rear seat?
Like the title says,
I've noticed that the older extra cabs like the 84-85's have a thinner
extra cab window... then the newer 90-92's have a wider window.
I thought that all toyota extra cabs had a bench seat in back.. turns out
the older models don't (like the 84 and 85).
So my questions are:
1. What year did the extra cabs start coming with the bench seat?
2. What year did they start making the extra cabs large enough for the bench seat?.... because I could buy the seat and put it in if the cab is large enough.
any help on this would be appreciated

lol, not really, maybe a junkyard, and i bet hardcore off roaders are taking them out to make room for tools and tow straps and such so maybe craigslist and ebay, nd theres one place 77lubr told me about (thanks 77lubr ) called future cars in colplay p.a, they have tons of yota parts from all years, you should try givin them a call and see if you can get em shipped to hawaii

Thx! appreciate the help...
it's looks like the 3rd gen pickups 89-95 have the larger extra cab....
I don't think the dimensions of the cab changed in those years... but was the
bench seat available in all those years?.... I dunno.. probably.
Unless anyone can tell me otherwise, I believe the 3rd gen 89-95 pickups are the ONLY
ones that have the extra cab seat.

84-88. I would say not near enough room for a person. Maybe a small aisian baby. lol
But 89-95 has a metal bench frame that is part of the cab. You would need to cut it out with a grinder(not really usefull either way). Then it just has ass pads on top of the self in the back. Still not really large enough for a full size person. For short trips its okay though.

Yotastomper: it has seat belts and could work for two little kids.
I have an 87' model xtracab, with the carpet wraped pressed cardboard "speaker shelf" as I call it, and I can say for a fact, that it does not have seat belts in the back, and I don't think even an tiny Asian baby would fit back there, let alone two kids.

Thx yeehaw1.
Yeah.. I'm looking for a Yota pickup 89 and newer... including Taco's.
Still tough to find a good one out here... still looking...
It pisses me off that when I find one, it's almost twice KBB.
like this one
http://honolulu.craigslist.org/oah/cto/1812396007.html
$8000 for a 1998 stock taco with 130K miles, and it has an AC compressor that makes noise.
this POS can't hold a candle to "Barney"... and Barney is only $5250!!!

Oh Barney! How I wish you had a bigger extra cab
that's one thing that sucks about being in Hawaii.... oh well someone has to do it

I have a 92 extra cab. The backs nice for short distances, but I wouldant want to be back there for more than an hour. But its nice for throwin tons of gear back there. Even takin additional people wheelin, I also like wheelin the long wheel base.
