what w series is this?

I'm trying to find shifters for this dude but can't figure out what it is. Also can I buy the housing from toyota and swap the arms from a g series into it? Thanks much all!!

Thank you very much for the replies. w56 it is. No clue as to what exactly it came out of as I just purchased it for my 89 pu that had a destroyed G"" series tranny in it. Funny thing is the guy had it advertised on ebay as a "G".

Well, for less than 500.00 I have a w56 tranny/transfer case, and a shifter. (and a G58 tranny and the TC that went behind my original G52 for sale!) I would like to thank ALL of you for your totally invaluable advice on de-coding toyota transmissions! Priceless, to say the least! Wayne
