What tool do i need to remove the Valves
I am in the process of changing a head gasket and went to auto zone and rented the tool below. It doesn't work. What valve spring compressor do I need?

I appreciate the help!

You don't actually need a valve spring compresser to remove the valves I've seen it done in a video. Dont remember much about it but I think the guy just twisted the washer thingy on top of the spring and whacked it with a rubber mallet. I Wouldn't try it though with out watching the vid again

beating it with a mallet is ghetto, lol
get the right tool for the job, you'll need a way to compress the spring when you put it back together anyway... any "c" shaped tool should be able to reach around the head, or mount the lever-based tool to a workbench:

Are you trying to "remove" the valves with the head still on? That's what the Autozone tool is for. I'm not sure why someone would "remove" a valve and not be able to take it out, but someone must want to do it.
