What does this vacuum switch do?
A rodent chewed the wires to part number 90910-12084, the vacuum switch assembly on top of the valve cover on my 22re. I'm wondering what this part does and if I can make a 1500 mile road trip without it.
Mid photo, brownish plastic, chewed wires.
I leave early next week and so this is a last minute snafu that I'm hoping can wait to be fixed on the other side.
What do you all think?

Judging by the photo, it seems that you are talking about the FPU VSV on the right- with the munched wires.
It's pretty common for people to delete that VSV completely and route the vac line that connects to it from the triple adapter in the plenum straight to the fuel pressure regulator vac input. Then remove the other vac lines that go to it and cap.
The only issue you might see (but probably won't) is a hot start issue... That is what the FPU VSV is for. Most people who remove it report no issues, though.
