What to do on a recent purchased 91 4runner

Okay I just got this 91 4runner V6 3VZE manual about two weeks ago. With the help of a buddy I have done some work on it already.

Replaced:
1)some small fuses
2)alternator
3)used power steering pump (still leaking)
4)replaced tail gate (some wiring issues still)
5) tires (32x11.5x15)
6) battery terminals, one ground to body one to engine block, larger gauge to fuse box that sits right next to battery

Have parts for:
1)re manufactured power steering pump
2)valve cover gasket
3)plenium gasket (just know i need it with the valve gasket)
4)oil filter and oil
5) Fan bracket pulley w/pulley (comes in tomorrow, old one stopped spinnign yesterday)

Thinking about:
1) Spark plugs and wires
2) cleaning the outside of engine to see visible leaks

Known messed up or not working pieces:
1) rear window not working
2)tailpipe/from cat on back is holy
3) windshield washer fluid not coming out

Runs sluggish up hills, fine on flat. Took it wheeling the other day and i was surprised at the abiliity on stock heigth(somewhat new to wheeling). Pulley stopped working on the way back.
Also, the stick seems to have alot of play all the way around. First stick owned but I drove my buddies the other day and it didnt move around nearly as much.

What else should I do?

you could really open a tin of worms with a question like that. You could just leave it alone now, or you can do a million things to it. I put a v8 in mine and things just didn't stop after that, in fact the list just keeps growing. My little 4 Runner is on its 3rd rebuild mow.

How many miles? I would check out the condition of the timing belt. change the oil, coolant and drive-train fluids.

Its at aprox 203K miles. I was thinking about the timing belt. Didn't think about the coolant. Completely lost when you say drive-train fluids? My buddy might know what you mean though.

Mods are for after its running good lol. Minus a couple little things here and there. Mainly looking for service work that i need to check though.

Check the cat and 02 them are both big factor's in the power and fuel mileage department , check compression on all cylinders see if you are going to need a set of head gaskets

plugs and wires should be factory 3.0 don't work well with other then Toyota plugs and wires most of the time, rotor and cap, replace the fuel filter

run Sea foam through the motor to clean up the carbon build up on the valve train and pour some in the fuel tank to clean the injectors ,

timing belt, water pump and tensioners as a just so you know they have been done safety measure

drive-train fluids- Transmission, T-case and differentials. Grease the u-joints and ball-joints(if applicable)
