Yep....it swings out from the driver's side.
This carrier has some really thick tubing....at least 1 1/2" in OD. It's one heavy mf'r, too. I'm thinking very seriously I may shave some of the unnecessary plate steel off to lighten it up a bit. Make it look less "bulky" at the same time.
