weird starting problem
i have a strange problem that i cant figure out so i am asking the toyota gods for a little help. my truck starts its self when it wants to. when i turn the key there is a really fast clicking noise that comes from the starter,it seams like the starter is engaging and digengaging really fast, like there would be a bad connection, and once it happens once it wont start itself and will continue to do it until i jump it. the battery says 12.whatever like normal and the alternator charges the batter at 14volts at idle.
this morning and all last night my truck started fine. now this afternoon when it got hot and untill night fall it would not start and continued to do that clicking thing but was easily jump started.
i changed the starter already, and idk what to do.

remove any grease from the terminals: battery, starter and frame / block ground, and tighten them down really good.
if that don't help, have the battery load tested.

Starter mount surfaces (to the bell housing, etc.) clean incl. bolts, etc.
Battery to frame grounds.
Battery to engine block / motor mount.
Engine head to firewall.
Alternator to engine mount.

for my 95 there is a ground that runs from the driverside front wheel well to the block, there is also a ground from the firewall to the top of the air intake chamber, right under a screw that holds the idle cable on top of the chamber.
My story is that I had intermittent starting, ended up being a lose connection on the starter, and truely I only got another quarter hard fought turn on the nut, but havent had a problem from that point.... with the starter anyway...
ANy recent work that may point us in a direction?

umm no, i havent done anything to my truck before this started happening.
this happend once or twice but eventually my truck started, and now once it starts it wont stop so that my truck can go! haha and it happens waaay more frequently.
i will tighten the hell out of any possible ground that i can find..
o and temperature couldnt have anything to do with a battery;s cranking amps? or anything that could keep me from starting

Can anyone take a picture of the engine bay and highlight these locations? I know all the ones coming from the battery because you can just follow them , but can't find the engine head to firewall ground wire.
