Weber carb and Idle adjustment

I installed a 32/36 Weber carburetor and started up the truck to find out that it was idling at 3000 rpm, which I went in expecting to be high because of the carb not being tuned yet. However when my brother and I went to tune it nothing seemed to happen to the idle speed. We followed everything on the sheet that came with the carb as well as looking at LCE's videos. Am I the one in a million person to have a defective carb or am I doing something wrong. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Be sure you don't have a vacuum leak. Are you using the two piece adapter? They are notorious for leaking. Redline Weber 1-800-733-2277 (opt 3) or redline@redlineweber.com
