w55 transmission shifter seat part number
I had a hard time finding W55 information myself so I thought I would post the part number that is correct.
These are the part numbers to replace the shift lever seat and bushing.
original part number was different but was replaced with the following numbers.
1992 pickup 4cyl 5speed
shift lever seat (The one that usually is destroyed) 33505-35020
shift lever bushing (one the tip of shifter) 33548-31010
I used these and they work perfect.

W55 Shift leveler
I agree they have a superior product, unfortunately they do not list a the W55 model on their web site and I was not sure which of the others would fit. I do not know enough about transmission to know differences.
I honestly tried for three months to order one from marlincrawler.
I sent emails in September and October and called at least 12 times and only got voice mail.
I ended up ordering from the dealership because they said they would take it back if it did not fit.

I also want to order their Delrin Shifter Seat and Heavy Duty Socket for my truck but I don't know what transmission I have and what will fit. I've been calling them and just get the recording.
If anybody knows what parts I need to order from them please speak up.
1991 22R-E, 5spd, 2WD, STD 1/2 ton
What trans is that? What Color Seat do I order?

I looked up the same parts in a google search and discovered Yotamasters carries them marketed under the Marlin Crawler badge. I gave them a call to see what I needed and if they had the parts in stock.
Unlike Marlin Crawler they answered the phone and told me what I needed and stated the parts are in stock for the same price. They told me they install lots of those pieces and that I would need the white shifter seat.
My order is shipping out tomorrow.
I know it wasn't anything big but Marlin Crawler is losing sales!

Went to install the shifter seat and bushing today crossing my fingers hoping that the white one was correct. Luckily it was.
When I looked at the old bushing I didn't notice any wear on the outside even when I ran my fingers around it. It didn't fit sloppily on the shifter ball but I could move it around to different positions easily and it didn't want to come off without a struggle. The new bushing was somewhat difficult to install and I couldn't move it around on the ball with my fingers.
Looking at the stock seat I really didn't notice much wear.
I was thinking I just wasted my money on these new parts and considered not installing them for a second, but that thought passed quickly.
I really couldn't believe what I was feeling on the test drive.
Every gear is right there without the slightest bit of hunting when upshifting or downshifting. It's very direct.
It's a little stiff when in neutral but that's nothing.
What a difference!
Even if you only have a little play in your shifter and you're wondering about replacing these parts with aftermarket stuff, don't hesitate, just do it already!

If you don't know which trans you have there's a great Vin plate decoder here...
