vibrations are hard to pinpoint
just some suggestions.....
have you checked your wheel bearings for play?.....bearings on the front short stub axles where the cv flange bolts to that flange (assuming you have a ifs)?...warped rotors?.....

haven't checked the wheel bearings - i'll do that. it's definitely not warped rotors and i guess it's possible that a wheel weight could have fallen off, but wouldn't the vibration be more noticeable at higher speeds? as for exactly where the vibration is coming from, i'm not sure. somewhere in the front half of the vehicle, that's all i can tell.

i've also got a vibration in 4wd when i let off the gas pedal with the tranny in gear, but it is more noticable by ear than by feel. i don't think the two are related.

you may try removing the rear drive shaft and just drive in front wheel drive...that may help you know if it truly is coming from the front or rear of the shaft it self

I have simular vibration and have about 25 threads on it.....so I fell for you and I haven't figured out where my vibration is coming from yet and neither has 10 repair shops
