V6 tcase options
I like the idea of modding the transfer case because in most cases it doesn't effect the trucks drivability in 2HI which is nice. Is there anything besides a twin stick that you can do to a V6 chain-driven case?

you can stick a 4cyl (chain drive) reduction box in front of it, marlin makes adapters, you can also stuff it with stock 2.28? or 4.7? reduction gears,
that coupled with the V6 box gives you lots of options for gearing
or you can get an adapter and replace the whole thing with 4cyl stuff in any combo you can think of
other than those two things (which really aren't mods to your t-case) and what you mentioned, you are pretty limited because of the chain drive, not a whole lot of aftermarket support

there is, you gotta get the "v6 adapter plate" which is near the bottom of the link I posted, that will let you bolt up a regular old 4cyl case (which you have to provide)
or get this, V6 Single 4.70 Crawler Unit :
http://www.marlincrawler.com/htm/transfercase/gears.htm
it's the second case down
that has everything you need, including the case
you'll only get one low range with both these setups though. If you get the "Ready-To-Run V6 Chain Drive Dual Crawler" from the first link it has everything you need, and you'll have an option to get three different low ranges (2.28, 4.70, both 2.28x4.70) you can alos get just the "kit" version of this and you'll have to provide the 4cyl reduction box and put the 4.70 gears in yourself and bolt it all together yourself
