ok guys so i found a 94 body for my 89 ex cab the only problem is that the 94 has a v6 with a automatic when my 89 has a 22re. i talked to a guy who told me its easy to swap the motors out the only thing is that you have to weld new motor mounts and swap the v6 with the 22re and swap the transmission and wire harness and computer. i was just seeing if it really is that easy if it is yall just made this redneck happy happy happy!!!

Hard call to make it depends on what you call easy .

To some on here it would be a weekend to others impossible.

Is there something wrong with the V6? I considered this swap as well when I purchased my 89. The 87 I was driving had a very nice 22re. I decided instead to sell the 87 to fund my 3.4 swap. Then I sold the 3.0 as well. The 3.4 swap doesn't require frame modifications.

both truck do have auto trans and the only thing supposedly wrong with the 94 is that the wire harness is messed up but the odometer reads 350000 my 89 has only 113000 i just thought i could swap the two and have a good truck
