urban wheeling
hey guys do you ever do any urban wheeling just because you have a 4x4 " ground clearance over most vehicles" and can haha. what i mean is curbs, trying to take a right at an intersection and you cant get passed the car in front of you so you cut into the shoulder were there is pot holes and mud just because you can?? Me any my friend always go to tim hortons to get coffee and there is this lady who despises us because after she hands us our coffee i put er in 4 hi " so i don't have an embarrassing moment of open diff action" and cut to the right over the curb into the parking lot next to us " btw cops are always inside and never say a thing" and as i look in the rear view i see her shake here head haha " something tells me she dosent like us hehe" . what im saying is do you guys ever urban wheel your yotas and do you have any funny storys?

well i don't hop meridians i just put it in there as a point and hopping a small curb so you dont have too loop back around the block or just because its easyer isn't a big deal like come on. my mom, dad, friends, friends parents do it and nobody cares. the women at tims only despises us because she dosen't expect it. hell when we had are car show downtown here, there was no parking so i parked in this grass part " mostly dirt and patchy grass nothing nice " with my front right flexed off a cement divider and cops were everywere. nobody cared then ether.

Rofl I figured this thread would get flamed, but I will admit, I have done it. I wouldn't advice it though. Plus, you dont need to be in 4wd to get over a curb... :/

i agree with space-junk..
and those curbs and stuff are there for a reason..you're not supposed to drive over them...if there was meant to be a drive there then they wouldn't have built a curb???
your just like the skater fag school dropouts that destroy everything in my town...then in turn it gives the good kid skaters a bad rep.
same with us wheelers man..remember the saying.."WHEEL RESPONSIBLY"

Just because you can go over it, doesn't mean you should. we all know what our Toyota's are capable of. and to me, classifying climbing a curb as "wheeling" or the term "urban" wheeling seems a bit low. despite our respects to wheel responsibly, tread lightly, and other terms we have. Its always good to abide by the law. All it takes is one ricer to come WOT, Flying down the road and plopping you on your side. despite him speeding, it is YOU who will lose that insurance battle because as a turd, you descided to hop the curb.

hey i understand what you are saying about giving bad rap for wheelers and how curbs are there for a purpose but its not like my day consists of this or its my hobby, its something i do here and there, sometimes for good reason and sometimes for fun. and yes i know you dont need 4wd to hop a curb but my clutch is on its way out " thanks to previous owner" so it makes it easyer on my clutch this way. Sorry guys if this really bugged you (camo).

its cool, just try to refrain from doing it. Were not trying to cause an argument here, just looking out the best for you and your truck. ( and the curbs ) hahaha

im all about respecting nature but honestly screw the city. yeah you dont want to get arrested but is wheeling a curb or taking a short cut anything to crucify someone over?

Btw im being sarcastic here " not completely serious". And its not like if i was going to hop a curb quickly that i would do it on a busy street or without checking my surroundings first. Im not perfect but im also not an idiot, when i do these things "rarely" i check to make sure i wont hurt or do something to cause harm to anybody. so sorry i brought up this post. WOW

I've done it before, I'm not going to lie, but only in stupid parking lots that dont have cross-overs to the parking lot right next to it
but yeah I wouldn't do it all the time just because I know that I can...

I once kissed a palm tree with a Crown Vic in downtown Orlando, does that count? I was 13 and just learning how to drive something other than a willys. Yes it was illegal for me to be behind the wheel, but my uncle thought I oughta learn how to drive an automatic.
e: Oh, I also put the same car in a ditch a week later, but that was out in the boonies.
