Upper Control Arm close to sidewall?

Hello again.

Rebuilt the front end of my 93 pickup over the last week. Got it together yesterday. Put everything back in to the best of my ability. Eyeballed an alignment.

Noticed my upper control arms are strangely close to the inside sidewall. I have installed new ball joints, control arm bushings and tie rod ends. I messed with the cam bolts and reinstalled them and everything else to my match marks. Didn't finish my torsion bar adjustment. Its off by a half inch or so.

The steering knuckles look bowed out at the bottom. I brought the truck to Firestone for an alignment and inspection. I asked if they could check my control arm distances and such. They gave me the green light and when I checked their work, I found the gap to be unchanged. I can barely get my index finger between the control arm and sidewall.

What the hell is going on here?

Did you have more distance between them before you rebuilt the front end?

I really want to say I did. I would have noticed the distance before.

I forgot to mention I have 1.5" 4Crawler Ball Joint spacers in my front end.

Did you add the bj spacers when you done the rebuild?
I've seen where people add bj spacers to there truck and find out their current rims won't work because the UCA hits the inside of the rim.
If it doesn't touch right now I would say it will be fine.

Nope. Ive had these BJ spacers for about ten months now. Had these wheels ands tires too. It just seems like less than the width of my index finger clearance is tight for an offroading truck. I dont think I'd have ignored that.

What I dont get is how the UCA is fixed to the frame through the upper suspension arm. That cant be a variable at all. The ball joints are made by MevoTech and though not factory are the same size and shape as the Toyota ones I removed.
