u-joint yoke question
i searched around here and google but found no definitive answer so...
i blew a u-joint in my 87 4runner last night on the highway, it could have been a lot worse if i hadnt pulled over when i did. anyhow, the ujoint is shot as is the yoke between the transfer case and rear driveshaft. i pulled the yoke to compare to whatever i could find at a junkyard. turns out i found a 94 single cab 4x4 truck (ill assume it was mt but the tranny and tc had been pulled).
the question- will the rear yoke of the 94 truck (between the rear diff and driveshaft) work for the yoke that i broke in my 87 4runner (between tc and rear driveshaft)? they look exactly the same as far as width, height, bolt hole diameter, etc but the inner cup on the 87 is stamped with a U and on the 94 it is stamped with a W or M.
thanks in advance!
