Truck wont start, and its not the battery Ideas????

So last night i went to start up my truck and it didn't want to start. Had the battery checked and its fine. I read in the repair manual that i should check the starter relay, but cant seem to find it.
I got a feeling that its the starter. How do i check that
Any help or ideas will be great

Thanks

What is it doing when you try to start it? Cranking fast, slow, or not at all?

Hit the starter with a hammer, screwdriver, anything hard.
Then try to start it. Might have to try a couple times.
If that makes it start... its your starter.

Everything looks good, cable wise,
All i hear is a click under the passenger side kick panel,
then i hear like the wining sounds....something like the fuel pump..and it doesnt turn over doest click..(like when the battery is dead)
I have the repair manual, it shows me how to test it with the volt meter...but i'm not very smart on that side.

thanks for all the ideas, hope this give you a better understanding

thanks
guys

Yo,
Its the starter if you are hearing the starter relay click. The solenoid is on the starter. You can disassemble the small solenoid and clean up the round contact disc and get some more miles from it. Can also get a solenoid and replace it. But, with its age, get a new starter or rebuilt one.

No charge this time......

are you sure you are getting good contact from your terminals to your cables? try cleaning them and retightning them on, i had this happen to me before, one night after seeing a movie it wouldnt start, it would just click and nothing else. the connection looked good and tight but it was just a matter of doing that and it worked just fine.

oh yeah, forgot to add this, if it doesn't roll over at all, but all the lights stay on when the key is turned on, than i would say its the starter, if the all the lights turn off, then i would say make sure the terminals are tight, corrosion free, and the cable are ok to.
