Troubleshoot squeek-95 4runner 4wd

I have a 95 4runner 22re and 4wd. I have a squeek that speeds up and slows down based on tire rotation. It sounds soft like it could be metal on metal but could also be rubber ie its not some horrible grinding. It sounds like it is coming from the passenger side. It comes and goes and is most often heard 30 to 45 mph. It made the sound a long time ago and I thought it was the front wheel bearing so I replaced the bearings and races on the front passenger side wheel. I'm pretty sure I did it right and assuming I did I was wondering if there is something else I might not be looking at. Could it be something from the front differential? Could it be the rear wheel bearing or some seal in the drive line? Just wondering if anyone has had a sound like this that might offer some advice.

You have probably already ruled this possibility out, but how much life do you have in the brake pads? When they get worn down, a squealer plate will start to rub on the rotor, but you will usually hear this at all speeds. Probably not the issue, but certainly is the easiest to rule out.

Since this is probably not the problem, do you have any way of posting a video or sound clip on youtube? That would be the best way for us to try and diagnose it.

Yeah I looked at those and they were in good shape when I did the bearing the first time. I definitely know that sound and it comes on strong when the brakes are applied. This comes and goes and is much quieter than that squeek. It doesn't sound like eeeeeeeeeeeeek it's more like eek eek eek eek eek.

check the rotor. Just because the pads look good doesnt mean that the rotor isnt warped. When you did the bearigs it was probably slightly warped but repeated use would continue to warp the disc.

Either have someone machine them if they are in spec or could be a good chance to go for a set of cross drilled and vented

SeniorFive does your speedo have a bounce to it at higher speeds? Gracias!
As for the rotors I didn't check them but I definitely don't have any feedback in the pedal that would indicate that they are warped.

The next thing I would look at are the CV Joints. Can they be greased? If so, grease the hell out of them and see if that quiets them up any. Likely too late to save them, so they will need to be replaced if they are in fact the problem.

I hope other people chime in on this now, because I really don't have much experience with CV Joints. They are the only thing left that I can think of. You could rule out the speedo cable that SRFive suggested by disconnecting it temporarily, and drive it around. If you do this, you might try and secure the end of the cable to make sure nothing falls out, and nothing else gets in.

Sounds to me like the brake wear indicator to me.
brake pads has a little metal thing that will rub against the rotor. Your rotor maybe a little warp so it sounds like " eek eek eek" in stead of eeeeeeeeeeeeeek.

melicha8 said the brake pads were in great shape, and is familiar with that sound. If the rotor(s) are warped it would be very noticeable in driving. No pulse = no warp.

Does anybody else think it could be in the CV joint? I'm just trying to think of the next item to check.
