Trashed my rear bumper

So I was out fartin around on a little mound of dirt and rocks today, and forgot to scout a way down at one point, and next thing i know... BAM!! BAM]!! OH CRAP!!! so I get out to look, and my bumper isabsolutely trashed. The sides were only held on by 3 bolts apiece, the rest had fallen out. The brackets were still in good shape, but the rest was trashed. So I headed home, took off the bumper, and I'm gonna take it from there. I figured this was as good a time as any to start a build-up thread. Its gonna be slow going, but I think I know what I want to do.
this is what the passenger side looks like
[IMG]http:/[/IMG

I got some decent pics before I trashed the bumper tho.

and here's the rock that decided to have a discussion with my bumper

like I said, I took the bumper off, and I have plans for what I want to do with it now, it will just take time. I'm thinkin a Marlin Crawler tube bumper is in order.... but we'll have to see how everything works out.

FaceBook photos are not going to show up on the forums; you'll have to use a photo hosting website such as PhotoBucket

So I apparently can't remember how to post pics... guess I'll have to go read up on it again.

yeah, it'll work out tho. In the mean time I have some stuff I'm gonna do to it. a little paint, and careful driving, and I'll be able to keep it looking decent until I can get the new bumper on.

Thanks man. Just used a grinder with a brush wheel to take off some of the paint and rough up the metal enough for the paint to get a good bonding surface. Then I used almost a full can of flat black on the whole area, just to make sure I had a good coat on it.

A rock did that to the rear bumper? I think if I look at mine the right way it will mangle itself and fall off!

yeah, it was crazy. I guess these stock bumpers aren't made to take hits like that . And yeah be careful how you look at ur Yota, it might decide to goof up and break something to spite you, lol.

So I picked up those tires a week or two ago, and put them on, but the beater rings that came with were all kinds of rusted, so I had to do some work on them. Finally got them all sanded and painted, and installed. Flat black makes the wheels kinda pop a little, since I wasn't able to get them to shine. (someone used chemicals to clean them, and they are aluminum.

Anyway, here are some pics of the truck afterward. These are 33x12.50 Buckshot Maxxis Mudders.

Love'em so far, they're loud as all get out tho, sometimes can't tell which is louder, the tires or the exhaust. Need to get a lift before i take them off road again, cuz I don't wanna cut the body up, but other than that, they're great.

Thanks man. Funny thing is that they're identical to the rims I had before, but they're deep set. kinda awesome if you ask me.

So it looks like I may be able to pick up some fj 80 coils for my 4Runner. anybody have an idea how to tell if they're still good or not? and how much lift over stock will these springs give me if they are good? thanks for the help guys.

So I picked up 2 sets of FJ 80 coils, and one set of shocks all for $30. got to lookin at the specs, and I'm gonna get about 3.5 or 4 inches of lift out of these springs. Now, before you flame me for this question, I am going to search, I was just wondering if any of you have ideas. Do you know of a relatively inexpensive way to lift the front of a'91 4Runner with IFS? I know BJ spacers will help, and longer shocks, but I dont know of any other ways to lift it so that the front and rear are level. Thanks in advance for any input, I really appreciate it.

I just finished installing the cruiser coils on my runner, and it looks SICK!!! I cranked the T-bars a bit, just so it doesn't look too dumb, but other than that the front is stock. there is a bit of a rake to it, and the rear sits up really high now, which makes me happy I will post some pics tomorrow, kinda wanna get it cleaned up some, but other than that, it looks awesome!!!
