Transmission Leak Help- 88 5- Speed

I have a 1988 Reg cab 22R 5 speed (G57 Trans). The extension housing seal is leaking and has been replaced about 1 1/2 years ago. Question is does a manual trans like mine have a seal and bushing or just the seal ? Can bushing be changed with trans still on truck and extension housing in place without the 150.00 tool ? hard to find solid info online about the bushing on a 5 speed. Any help or tips is appreciated.

Is it a 2wd trans? Is it the slip yoke seal that's leaking, where the driveshaft connects? Some pics would help also

I am sorry yes it is a 2wd. and yes it is the seal that goes around the slip yoke. The yoke doesn't have hardly any groove but I am going to polish it a bit with some sandpaper. I also thought of not pushing the seal all the way back in so it rides on a different spot on the shaft. I will get some pics tomorrow. Appreciate your help.

The slip yoke seal is an easy job, hardest part would just be getting under the truck. I would say when you install a new one coat the rubber with grease before you install the driveshaft.

Thanks I already have the truck on jackstands and waiting for the new seal to come in I was just trying to determine if there is a bushing also and how hard to replace. I will grease the seal lips too, Thanks
