Tranny sound...
I can hear this sound like a metallic object bouncing around on a spinning shaft that sounds like it is coming from the tranny. It goes away when I press the clutch in. It sounds similar to something dangling on a driveshaft somewhat like a bell...
Ive looked under there and nothing is loose so I think it is inside.
Anyone have any suggestions? I think it has been this way for a while as I have heard it randomly before but it very apparent now that I have been riding around with the windows down. Clutch doesnt slip gears are all fine.
I also hear what sounds like fluid going though valves(like a shock) when I change gears, especially on a downshift but that might be normal.
I guess my first action will be to change the gear oil in the tranny.

If the throw out bearing fails on me then Im stranded correct? Stuck in whatever gear it was in?
Does the fluid level in the tranny have anything to do with the TO bearing?
I may add some to see if it quits it down a bit.

The throw out is what engages/disengages the clutch. If it seizes it will start to burn the fingers off the clutch. If it blows apart you will have no clutch, stuck in gear.
