there is a good amount of transmission fluid dripping from my bellhousing. i'm guessing the seal is bad. have any of you guys dropped a tranny before? i really dont want to pull the motor again.

I've dropped several trannies, autos in buicks, manuals in yotas... its not too bad of a job. beats pullin a motor. sounds like its your front tranny seal. pullin the tranny and t-case together will give you access to the front seal. from there, you'll have to get more input on how hard the tranny seal is to change.

Basic gist is undo the driveshafts, then the linkages and speedo cable (dont forget it), all wiring, then take the bolts out between the flywheel and the torque converter (usually 3; I cant tell you how to get to them, but its usually a dust cover that bolts onto the bottom of the front of the tranny, get to them by spinning the flywheel with a screwdriver or crowbar), then undo the bellhousing bolts, slide the tranny straight back to holding onto the torque converter as well to take it off with the tranny, then drop it straight down. that should be about the basics of it, if you have any questions, post and im sure someone with some yota specific knowledge can help.
