Question Tranny Kickdown Cable

Ok, a long time ago I adjusted my kick down cable so that the small metal bead on the cable was out a bit further than spec. at WOT.

I had my tranny serviced recently and they mentioned some metal shavings in the pan and I got paranoid.. so...

..tonight I adjusted it back to what I believe is stock spec, but I can't find my manual.

From what I understand, the metal bead is supposed to be 0-1mm from the end of the rubber boot at WOT. Is this correct? And by WOT they mean opening the throttle all the way from inside the engine compartment? I don't have anyone available to stomp the accelerator pedal for me right now.

Thanks for any input, I cannot afford a tranny rebuild anytime in the near future.

You are correct. Just work the throttle plate directly on the throttle body to adjust the kickdown cable.
