TPS adjustment now can't accelerate...

So, I was having some issues with adjusting my timing. I was not able to set the base timing and when I unshorted the proper diagnostic terminals the ignition did not advance as it is supposed to. So, I posted the issue on here and was given some good advice regarding the TPS being the cause. Sure enough the FSM backed that up and I made an attempt at adjusting it.

After adjusting it I was able to set the base ignition timing and have it properly advance once the shorted terminals were removed. HOWEVER, now my truck (22R-E, 87) can't accelerate! When I hold the throttle open it does not increase the RPMs much if any. Instead it has a delay and sounds like it is taking a break from running... What did I do or what does this sound like? Could it be the TPS needs to be changed or is it something else? Thanks

Unplug the TPS and see if that helps.
If it does then it's either the adjustment or the TPS itself.

If that doesn't help it could mean you've adjusted your timing wrong.

The TPS must be adjusted within a few thousanths of an inch. I recently replaced the TPS on a 3.0 and 2 thou made a huge difference. The TPS is the same for both.

You probably already did that, but I was suprised at how sensitive it is.

Or adjusted incorrectly. You can test it.
