Toyota Cressida AFM Swap...Info please?
Have just spent about 3 hours pouring through the forums here doing as much research as possible to find out which AFM's are a direct replacement for the 22re's. Here is what I know:
1982 Supra AFM = Direct swap
Part number of that AFM is 22250-43110
Some people have said that the mid-80s cressida AFM is also a direct swap. Does that mean that it is part number 22250-43110? And which years exactly of the cressida are direct fit They say mid 80s but is that an 83? or 87? I dont know.
Reason I am bringing this up is I have found a nice low milage used 87 cressida AFM for a good price, but I am having an issue confirming that the part number is indeed 22250-43110. Any one who can shed some light on this fact, your knowledge is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Why did you make 2 threads about the same thing, please don't do it again... you can always bump it or edit it again...
I gave you the part number for that cressida from toyotaparteast.com you go check it out... Part number is the same for a 86 cressida wagon with an auto transmission too...

That was my bad about the double posting. I have heard that the only afm that is a direct swap is the 82 supra. And some people have claimed that a mid 80s cressida unit will plug and play too. Can anyone shed light on this?
By the way it was not my intent to take up room in the forums. I posted my first one and was unable tofind it later...thought i either forgot to post or navigated away from the page so i tried it again.

Thats cause no one really knows what years expect for 82 supra, you just have to look for a dohc or 5mgfe mid 80s Cressida
