i think the only gain would be a nice new frame, personally i dont really see any pro's or cons here, maybe a few headaches but thats to be expected

I see alot of work! If you want to dig into a job like this Why not just build yourself a buggy and go out and destroy the trails. I dont see any reason why to do this!

seen this done with cars and small trucks (funniest was an Escort, but they used an Mini truck frame). Simple reason why its done is the frame of one vehicle is broke, rusted, or bent beyond repair. While the Body of the other has been destroyed. Thats why its always Mid 70's to mid 80's Chevy frames because the body's were rusting away on the showroom floor.

Only real gains I see are the abilitly to run a Full Length Dana 60 or better (wider is better IMO) with a short frame (shorter is better IMO),and Easy to fit a SBC V8 in

correct me if i am wrong but your also going to be dealing with a different Axel width. If you like the "tires sticking way out" look then i guess its fine.

the reason for this would be ifyou wanted to swap in a 454 big or 350 small or something along those lines you could just bolt everything up, chop the frame up a bit and throw your yota body on there plus your neighbors and passers by will know your hardcore if you have a yota frame sitting in your yard

Yes but how do you know which Chevy frame will fit on your Yota? I have a 91 and the frame is cracked on the front passenger side. 4" lift kit, spartan locker up front, 33x12.50" ProComp tires, new clutch..... What would you do?
