I searched but didn't find an answer.
I have a 91 4x4 pu. Was a 4cyl. now a V6.
It still has the 4cyl. torsion bars in it. Was sitting a little low anyways but I've had to put a plow on it now and it sits right down on the bumpstops when I put the blade on.
My question is, I have a set of 88 4x4 pu V6 torsion bars. Will they swap right in place of the 4cyl. bars?
I don't want to get half way thru the change and find out they won't work. I can't have this truck down.

They should be the same length with the same spline pattern. You might want to check that the V6 t-bars are actually thicker because I'm not sure that they will be.

Yes they are thicker.
They look the same other then being thicker I just want to make sure I'll have no problem with fit.

If you put a plow on it, you might want to check out some 26MM Old Man Emu Torsion bars.

They're more heavy duty, so the truck won't ride on bumpstops with the plow.

i think you will have to have the v6 torq arms

Thanks for the help.
I just got done changing them. Set it 1" higher then it was. Put the plow blade on and it pretty much stayed right there. No where near the bumpstops now. "happy camper now"
