ok what is tool list for installing a lockright...everything you need anyone got pics...im tearing into my rear axle doing brake cylinders axle seals and a lockright. i have a 89 pickup with a V6. i want to be totally ready

There should be instructions and a tool list in the manual that came with the lockright. If you want a better more detailed explanation there should be a few installs on Zuk's pages...

21mm for wheels.
14mm for axle and DS.
10mm for brake lines.
12mm for studs ondiff.
Dikes(cottor Pin)
Pliers(cottor pin)
I believe 17mm in side the diff(or it could be 14mm).

Torque wrench - for the bolts inside the housing when you are putting it back together.
Vice - you have to tighten those bolts too much to hold the diff and torque them.
Grease - get a tub of it

3 quarts of gear oil to refill the diff. toyota reccomends 80w-90. im sure you can use what you want. Go with synthetic

Yea don't use grease on the locker it will keep it locked and its a pain to tear down again just to get the grease off the locker. This is experience talking but it will go easy if you just take your time and read directions two or three times.

Hold off on the syn to you are sure that you got it all done right then run it like 500 miles before going to syn

I used grease on mine as described in the instructions and it has always worked fine. If you don't use it on the springs you'll never keep them in long enough to put the locker in. At least not without an unnecessary hassle.

I used it on several parts of the lockright and it was working properly from the time I tightened the last nut on the 3rd...

Just how do you guys suppose that grease it going to stop the hundreds of pounds of force that are on this thing anyways?

a bench or table vise will porably be the best tool for this instaul...trust me
