Anyone else done this? My paint has held up well for about five years but now has become dull and I have a little rust to repair. can I just remove wax and lightly sand and throw on some new coats or do I have to take it completely down to primer again? Whats the best rout to take ????

I think paint will stick fine to scuffed up paint. Think about it this way: When you do multiple coats of paint or clear coat, ONLY the bottom layer is actually going on the primer. Could be wrong here, but i've never had any issues with it. Good luck!
