Throttle sticking!!!! DANGEROUS!

Throttle has been sticking lately and I am assuming it's the cable binding. Anyone ever had this happen to them? Where do I get a new cable from? been looking for a new one for about 3 hours now online and cannot find one! Anything else it could be?

Thanks
Woody

Does it stick every time, or only at random times?

If you disconnect the throttle cable from the linkage and operate it by hand, does it also stick?

Just was going to try to lube the cable itself when I came upon this, my linkage in my weber seems to be what is sticking I think. Here's the video:

What do I do now?

Either the link is broken, or something is up with my browser. If you post a normal straight link that I can put into my web browser I'll take a look.

It's really hard to tell from that video, but it sounds like something is scraping, and then hanging.

Do you see any scratch marks where metal has been rubbing on metal?

not as far as I can see. one thing I thought of was the nut that you install the link to the throttle cable with i guess has a tendency to tighten itself so going to try loosining that nut some and see what happens, got a email into weber direct also.

How old is that Webber?

I just happen to have one sitting around. I'll bring it in and take some pics to see where it could possibly be binding up

Check the areas circled in red for binding.

I noticed that when I simulated a stuck 2nd barrel, that it acted like, and sounded like your Webber in the video

It seems to me like the accelerator pump slide arm is jamming. I'd check there first. That is the red circle in the 2nd pic above

I'd hit those areas with a little wd40.

If that immediately solves the issue, then I would add a bigger return spring like Goodyota said.

If it doesn't solve the issue, then it must be hanging up somewhere else.
