Throttle Cable Adjustment

Is there any specific adjustment that needs to be made to the throttle cable cause it seems like there's a lot of freeplay at the accelerator.

There's also a "cushion" on the accel pedal end that splits or breaks down and leads to about 1/2" of extra play. Quick fix? Put a hose clamp around it.

Ah-ha. I see I'll try that out. I think I've got it fixed though. Thanks all.
