Throttle body question
My truck has a hesitation.. If you try to accelerate fast, it will just smother down.. I have posted about this before, last year i think.. anyhow . If you ease up off the gas pedal a little you can feel it pick up.... My question today is, Would a dirty throttle body cause this? I bought a another truck just like it with a knocking motor for parts.. If i clean the 1 i bought up , Does anybody think this could help? I have had the truck 5 years and its never been taken off and cleaned.. I have taken the other one off.. The gasket looks good, not broken anywhere.. Could i reuse it or is it best to just but new one, It can't cost much, I wouldn't think..
ohh and it has new plugs, wires, D-cap , R-button , fuel filter and fuel pump to rule those things out

My 3.0 used to do this pretty hard too. It would really bog if you tried to lay into it from a standstill, once you were moving a little bit with the revs up you could hammer dopwn. I changed my fuel filter and it solved the problem for me, but it looks like youve already done that?
I'm not too familar with the 22re, so these could be dumb questions. Definitely only one fuel filter on it?
What about injectors? Maybe ones not spraying correctly?
Sounds like a fuel issue to me. Maybe a hole/leak in your fuel lines somewhere?
Good luck

Any trouble codes?
Cleaning the throttle body won't hurt. Check for vacuum leaks. Inspect the duct and rubber parts between the throttle body and air filter for any hairline cracks. Verify your throttle position sensor is good & adjusted properly. Check your coil.
