Throttle Body, Flap/butterfly/Thing
I think i saw the answer somewhere before but cant seem to locate it.
So sorry if this has been posted before.
Is the Butterfly(or whatever its called) in the throttle body supposed to have any gaps? On mine when i hold up up to the light i can see through it a tiny bit. or is it supposed to be completely closed?

That is not not true.
You might have to open up the idle air by-pass circuit(back the idle speed adjusting screw out) a little to compensate for it though, if it were fully sealed when closed. Which it isn't. But the engine would definitely still be able to run.

This was in theory of course... >_<
I do remember one time as an experiment in school we had a vehicle just for school use only and we were being shown the difference with a car with a normal throttle body and one with the throttle plate fully sealed off and when the fully sealed one was on the vehicle it would bearly run at all. Guess i went slightly over board with "will not run" but still it is theoretically trueish.. Either way its never supose to be sealed shut 100% ^_^
