thnking of putting a passenger bank manifold onto the driverside of the 3vze

dont know if its been discussed yet but ive been thnking of putting a passenger bank manifold onto the driverside of the 3vze. well i finally tried it on a spare motor i have and just realized that the pass manifold sticks out way to much to put an elbow to a down pipe.....it will hit the firewall. if i ever get around to it, i may still use the crossover pipe but block off the driv manifold rear and turn the elbow for it down and connect it to the orig down pipe. Or, shorten the extra pasenger manifold but cuting and welding(can you weld cast iron?) and then ad an elbow so it would be a dual exhaust.

yea me to whats up what are you trying to do .

you can weld cast iron , do a search, you have to heat the whole manifold up in an oven or something before you weld it then you need to let it cool evenly .

what he is trying to do is eliminate the crossover pipe, Im actually "trying" the same thing right now also. Just run two 90 angles down and then join the two manifold under the truck. Luke..update us on running two passenger side manifolds, if not I have read where people just cap off the driver side manifold.

sorry, was gonna upgrade my exhaust while i was converting to standard but just had to get the runner on the road after sitting so long. I could have capped off the driv rear manifold but i thought it would be weird that the driv bank would have a bigger exit than the pass side. I could have capped the driv side bottom exit and put an elbow in the driv rear but the flow for the 1 and 3 looked weird also so i just left it stock...... someday ill get around to doing something with my exhaust other than headers i dont want to get.
